What is the capacity of 501 Union?
  • Cocktail Reception: Up to 400 guests
  • Seated Dinner + Dance Floor: Up to 140–160 guests
  • Theatre Style in The Atrium: Up to 150 guests
  • Theatre Style in The Main Space: Up to 250 guests
What is the rental fee for a wedding or event?

Our rental rates vary by day of the week and season. Please contact us for a custom quote.

How do I book a date?

To secure your date, we require a signed contract, a 50% venue deposit, and a $1,000 security deposit (refundable after your event).

What is your cancellation policy?

We know things don’t always go as planned. Since we hold your date just for you, cancellations within 90 days of the event are subject to a fee based on how close we are to your date.

Do I need to hire an event planner or coordinator?

Yes. A day-of coordinator, event planner, or designated sober contact is required to manage vendors and event flow.

Is insurance required?

Yes. We require a certificate of insurance (COI) from every client and vendor working on-site.

Am I responsible for cleanup?

Yes. Vendors must:

  • Remove all décor and personal items
  • Fold and stack tables and chairs (separating 501 Union rentals from others)Clear out the private suite
  • Package Broadway Party Rental items and linens for pickup
  • Clear food from the kitchen and bag all trash
Is there a private suite or green room?

Yes. A private suite with a restroom is located in the rear of the venue.

When can vendors and guests be on-site?

Vendor load-in begins at 9am and load-out can go until 2am. Events typically run 4.5–6 hours from guest arrival to bar close.

Can I use my own bartenders?

No. All beverage service is provided exclusively through our in-house bar program.

What other services do you provide?

We offer bar packages, in-house tables and chairs, and basic A/V equipment.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Yes, the venue is fully ADA compliant.

How many bathrooms are onsite?

Eight private, unisex, wheelchair-accessible restrooms: one in the lounge, six off the main space, and one in the private suite.

Do you have heating and air conditioning?

Yes, central heating and A/C are available in the lounge and main space. The covered atrium is not climate controlled.

Is 501 Union pet-friendly?

Yes. Leashed pets are welcome during the ceremony with prior approval. We ask that pets return home after the ceremony.

Are candles allowed?

Yes, but they must be enclosed in votives or lanterns. Open flames and taper candles are not allowed.

Is smoking or vaping allowed?

No. Smoking and vaping are prohibited indoors, including in the covered atrium.

Do you allow live music or DJs?

Yes! Both live music and DJs are welcome. An in-house audio technician may be required for live performances (additional fees apply).

What are your audio and visual capabilities?
